Uvulitis

Definition

Uvulitis is inflammation of the uvula, the small tongue-shaped piece of tissue that hangs from the top of the back part of the mouth. It is usually associated with inflammation of other mouth parts, such as the palate, tonsils, or throat (pharynx).
